Valerie's Avon Breast Cancer 3 - Day
Dear Friends and Family,
I have been blessed to be surrounded by some very special people that will be joining me in the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk July 12-14 from San Jose to San Francisco. I will be walking 20 miles a day for a total of 60 miles; sleeping in a tent on the roadside for two nights; taking showers in mobile trucks; and using porta-potties. My team and I will each have our own specially designed shirts with butterfly wings on the back. "She Walks With Her Own Wings", is our motto. And the front of our shirts will have the name of the person we are doing the walk for.
I am doing it for my mom and as you may or may not know she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and has been going through every chemo treatment that you can imagine. Hang in there mom I'm doing this for you!
Everyone I know has been affected by cancer. It's not her problem or my problem it's our problem. I am asking for your financial support because I have to raise $1,900.00 that is the minimum for the Walk. But I am not going to stop there. I have my own personal goal that I would like to achieve and I have 5 months to do it. Whether its $5.00 or $500.00 your every penny will be going to a great cause and it is also tax-deductible. Please support me in my cause, I mean OUR cause.
